Shortly before Christmas 2011 Poynton & District Rotary Club were pleased to be able to make a donation of £500 to the Macclesfield Corps of the Salvation Army.  This money was put towards providing Christmas food parcels and toys for homeless and underprivileged families in the Poynton area over the festive season.

Major Raymond Ward has since written to us to thank the club for its donation. He explained that the donation was especially appreciated this year because the current economic climate had given rise to more than the usual number of requests for help.
