Poynton and District Rotary Club made a donation towards the purchase of an Accuvein machine and toys for the Tree House at Stepping Hill hospital .
The Accuvein is a brilliant piece of equipment. Basically a light beams down and can see all the veins under the skin. It is mobile and can be used by one person if necessary allowing a second person to be with the child. This machine overcomes the problem of finding veins and is therefore less traumatic for young patients especially those that need to have blood taken regularly.
Janet Mason, Nurse and Poynton Rotary Club member went to see a demonstration of the super new equipment.
