Local Brownie Catches Coach
We are excited to have begun the New Year by sponsoring a local Brownie in her early efforts to become an ice skater.
The young lady showed promise on a recent trip to Altrincham ice rink. An ice skating coach who happened to be there spotted her natural ability and, unusually, approached the Brownie leader and the child's parents. However, the circumstances were such that the cost of professional coaching put this opportunity of a lifetime out of reach. Undaunted, Julie Johnson, District Commissioner for Girlguiding Poynton approached our club for help.
Poynton & District Rotary Club was happy to oblige. We understand coaching has now begun and we are looking forward to receiving updates on progress from District Commissioner and Brownie Leader Julie which will lighten our business meetings in the months ahead!
