Beechwood is a day centre opened in 1990 to help anyone whose life has been affected by the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. Within its welcoming surroundings they offer a range of free support, including 1 to 1 talk time, complementary therapies and group sessions to help patients, family members and carers cope with all the problems they may have to face.

In December 2011, Poynton & District Rotary Club made a donation of £1000 to the centre. Angela Gray, Fundraising Manager for the Centre wrote to us in response:

"On behalf of the Beechwood Cancer Care Centre, I would like to thank you for your kind donation of £1000. This is a most welcome contribution to the centre. You may rest assured that the money will be used to provide comfort and support to patients."
